No Snark this holiday - the Known Soldier portrait

I copied and pasted this 2004 portrait of the composite portrait of the faces of American soldiers who died in the imperialist invasion of Iraq as explained by the artist, on www.bluestarfolly.com, as follows.

Larry Holoway wrote: "2004.10.13 - I created this haunting, nearly recognizable face by combining the available portraits of every American soldier killed in Iraq from March 2003 to September 2004. This is the face of America's sacrifice, the face of more than a thousand families' pain. Do you recognize it? "

He asks not to hotlink to his site, so type the address and read his site.
He later posted an updated version on his website, and the 'face' become clearer. Go look at it, and again, weep for the good that we lost.

Please feel free to link to the site itself: The Known Soldier - My no-hotlinking request applies only to linking directly to images, not to the site. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the mention! This was one of the most emotionally difficult pieces I have ever worked on.
