...especially when it comes to "upgrading" troops as National Propaganda Radio's Diane Rehm said a minute ago. She meant "increasing the number of"...
She's talking to pundits - the likeable Wes Clark and Max Boot from the Council on Foreign Relations... and like I predicted, the November Surprise is increasingly looking like "we can't lose", "we can't pull out", and pin the guilt on you, the citizen who hasn't sacrificed enough. Your shopping and yellow ribboning, and truck magnets, and giving up your Bill of Rights without a squeak wasn't enough...
They need more troops, and you are them.
The November surprise was that you elected Dems and nothing is gonna change. Bush is not gonna be chased down and impeached, and the Rats and Reptiles are already holding hands and singing Kumbaya.
Why don't we drastically cut the militaristic budget, starting with covert ops, and with the peace bonus, reinforce our own border security especially ports, fix trade policy to make it fair to American workers, increase the cap on payroll taxes to make it fairer to the middle and lower classes (how progressive!) and so the Social Security unfunded mandate will be funded. Make the corporations and capitalist patrician ruling class who benefit from war, PAY for their own f%*!ing wars.
Time to privatize the whole of the Armed Forces, not just the KP. Let the Global Dominance Group and the NeoCons pay for war out of their nest eggs instead of ours.
I suggest we re-learn DIPLOMACY, and re-institute FREE AND FAIR TRADE. Let's test the legitimacy of our self-propaganda.
And then, when we become part of the world community again, we won't need to spend so much on secret prisons and developing WMDs.
