I love my Republic, but I hate my Empire.
The Bush regime does not equal my country.
America was an idea, and you can't kill ideas even with the most repetitive catapulting of lies and revisionist history.
It is what it is, now. But it can be America again.
Democracy is democracy, freedom is freedom, liberty is liberty: ideas with historical definitions. Bush may be the biggest perverter of language since "Big Brother", but ideas can't be perverted.
