Tacitus and Terry Jones

Tacitus, Roman historian, wrote of the Imperial Roman conquering of the Briton Celtic "barbarians", and the rewriting of history by a conqueror:

"If you want to rule the whole world does it follow that everyone else welcomes enslavement? To robbery, slaughter, plunder, they give the lying name, Freedom.
They make a wilderness and call it Peace."

I highly recommend the Terry Jones series of history videos.
