good police work

Most people don't know or care, but there is a 6 year old story that
was completely wallpapered over and ignored by the corp media,
which may hopefully crop up again for review, in light of a story
today which will also be ignored by the terrorized soccer moms.

First, "Following the Money Trail" is a time honored
and solid police technique.

The political story is this:
The Bush Administration had a chance to use this police technique
before 9-11 to follow terrorist money trails,
but they rejected the opportunity, ostensibly because
following money trails was rejected by the financial
institutions who are also their BIG political donors.

In other words, The Bush Administration prioritized
national security below financial political gain, and
in effect 'left the door unlocked' to potential terrorists
who would do us harm.

Here is today's story:

This Brussels based system, SWIFT a financial communications
and data base set-up used by banks for tracking international
money transactions, and other purposes, has been secretly
used by the Bush Administration which has internal
but not publicly Congressionally or judicially overseen
safeguards.

The Bush Administration FOR SOME REASON is compelled to do things
in secret and without permission. They haven't complied with the
FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] law.
Again.

And for some reason they have a sociopathic obsessive
impulse to control every detail of everything, which goes back
to potty training issues with their mothers.

You can see, I blame Barbara for much of the mess our country
collectively has stepped into.

The story that was "ignored" by the mainstream media
for many years now, is that before 9-11 the Clinton Administration
agreed to an international treaty to follow money trails.
That administration was highly alert to the terrorist threat,
although it DID NOT CHOOSE TO USE IT AS A POLITICAL TOOL.

Bush had the treaty on his desk
when he came into office in 2000, and he refused to sign it.

Good thing for the Bush Crime Family that most people will be focused
on some poor wannabe terrorists. You kinda have to admire this kind
of news cycle timing.
