Wow, a double drum beat on NPR

NPR is at it again, drumming up Zionist hatred of Iran, this time. So, that's two propaganda slots they aimed at GOP religious focus groups, devoting time twice today to drumming the war drums against Iran.
Look it up and listen to it in archives! It is thrilling in its slanted and not too subtle bias.

One thing I must comment on, however, is that the suggestion that the Palestinian people have been COLLECTIVELY punished for ... what? For being the least politically connected group in the Mideast back when racist/anti-Semitic America and Europe were looking for some place to settle all of the Jewish refugees from World War 2.

Couldn't send them home, could we?

We all remember, and will never forget, 6 million Jews were slaughtered during that holocaust, but we should also all remember and never forget, that there were a similar number of other marginalized and scapegoat groups who met the very same fate.

Gypsies, nationalists (people of the wrong nationality, such as the French resistance), homosexuals, socialists. Many Others met the same fate.

Maybe I don't know enough European history, but how many of those Other groups were resettled in their very own brand new country? So what other reason, than "Allied" racism and anti-semiticism can account for the establishment of a new European nation smack dab on another indigenous nation's land?

The commentator mentioned that an Iranian someone or other had suggested experiencing much the same cognitive dissonance, and had arrived on the same remedy that I once considered.
Here is my idea:

If we can't resettle all of the Israelis back in their European, Russian, and American homelands, and give them some kind of reparations for World War 2, then Bring them to America! We'd save untold taxpayer money spent to prop up a country where it shouldn't be!

Settle them HERE as we should have done after the Great War!

We have Lady Liberty raising her lamp high by the golden shore! They probably could all get H1B visas until they become citizens, but otherwise we could figure out some kind of ignoring the immigration rules.

Avoid everlasting Middle Eastern war and settle them in, say _ North Dakota, which is losing population, or say _ Flint, Michigan, where their energy and talent will revive our dead economy, or say _ Salt Lake City, which would really be great, for the Prophecy Will Be Fulfilled and the Temple is already Built!! Think! The apartheid wall can come down (Take Down That Wall, as Saint Ronnie so famously said.)
We won't have to flatten Jerusalem so the bone-headed wacko Fundies can rebuild the Temple to pave the way for the Second Coming! Halelu-yah!

Think of the collateral damage (dead children) we can avoid creating!
Jesus would be proud!

Anyway, maybe the Iran bombing/invasion/whatever will be sooner than I thought. I hear Iraq is not behind us invading them, and sanctions are unlikely to work, because Iran is more economically tied to the Far East than to NATO countries.
Sigh.
