a short scream of outrage

NPR News: at Gitmo "the US subjects detainees to mock drownings."
Imagery: we're sitting in a waiting room watching a movie of little Timmy falling down a well, poor Timmy is drowning.
Reality: PRISONERS after three years without any human rights, NOT allowed to contact their family or be charged and tried...are tied on a board and dunked under water to the point where they believe they will drown.

NPR, How far have you sunk! are you just a tool for Big Brother?
Have you no empathy?
You must be well paid for that subtle Newspeak.
As Sophie Scholl said, "I am here today, you will be here tomorrow."
